Flight Facilities on Facebook

The identity of the artists behind
Flight Facilities remains mysterious… Rumour has it that this project is the brainchild of  Jimmy 2 Sox and (possibly) U-Go-B, two Sydneysiders affiliated with Australian electro labels Bang Gang 12"es  and Modular. Their page on LastFM says they met at a Holy Ghost! DJ set in New York and immediately hit it off, sharing loves in music, literature and movies. Plans to work together were formed then but didn’t really take off until the following year when they met again at the secret Bang Gang Runway party. This time, real plans were formed and and they started doing some remixes for a bunch other artists such as Toecutter, Bag Raiders, The Lowbrows and Sneaky Sound System.

Midnight Savari on discogs
 Sydney's
Death Strobe label is a seriously exciting new arrival to the discographic horizon. Ken Adhitya, or Midnight Savari, is a Disco/Funk/Balearic/Cosmic producer from Jakarta (Indonesia) who launches his vinyl debut with an absolutely stunning EP on this label.
A-side "Pinisi" is a beautifully constructed mid-tempo Balearic Disco jam; the perfect soundtrack to a sunny summer sail with beautifully layered synths and a hot bass groove.
"Rimshots" on the flip is a powerful homage to the 808, a rumbling, raw retro jam of the highest calibre. Finally "Phantom Galacton" is another super crisp & expertly programmed modern Disco workout, reminiscent of Pete Herbert's synth heavy dancefloor cuts. As the boys say - "Limited to 500 round ones"!

Death Strobe Records is a boutique record label set up in 2009 and run by Sydney based DJ's,
Ash Le Rouge and Andy Webb.Andy also happens to be the driving force behind one of Australia's most respected music blogs Disco Delicious. With a shared appreciation for the old and the new,for the future and for the future-tech, Death Strobe plans on releasing amazing and exciting music from a multitude of Australian and international artists.
